A leading real estate advisory firm is seeking a highly motivated Senior Surveyor to support the delivery of UK-wide fund valuation mandates. This opportunity sits within a high-performing team responsible for over £8bn in portfolio valuations. The role offers exposure to a range of real estate asset types and direct client relationship management, with strong potential for career development.
Role Summary
You’ll work alongside an established valuation team, contributing to the regular valuation of institutional portfolios and fund assets. You’ll act as the lead contact for your clients, coordinating multiple reporting cycles and helping Partners manage large-scale instructions efficiently.
Core Responsibilities
- Valuation Delivery & Reporting: Undertake monthly and quarterly valuations of UK commercial assets, taking into account market dynamics and active asset management initiatives. Use industry-standard tools such as Argus Enterprise, Argus Developer, KEL, and MRI to deliver precise, compliant valuations. Contribute to individual property and portfolio valuations for secured lending, internal reporting, and investor disclosures.
- Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for a number of key clients. Manage and respond to a wide range of client enquiries, ensuring a high standard of professionalism and responsiveness. Attend valuation meetings and presentations across specific market sectors.
- Market Knowledge & Business Development: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market conditions, valuation trends, and legal developments. Identify opportunities to expand service lines or grow the client base through networking and industry events. Support Partners with business generation and department visibility.
- Professional Standards & Delivery: Ensure valuation reports meet regulatory, RICS Red Book, and internal quality standards. Maintain strong internal record keeping and uphold confidentiality across all workstreams. Meet agreed deadlines while managing competing priorities.
- Team Contribution: Collaborate across service lines and departments to strengthen internal knowledge-sharing and client outcomes. Support and mentor junior staff including graduates and apprentices. Work closely with three Partners, an Associate, and a wider team of valuation professionals.
Experience and Qualifications
- MRICS qualified with demonstrable experience in UK commercial property valuation.
- Proven track record in producing Red Book-compliant reports.
- Familiarity with secured lending and fund-level valuation work.
- Registered under the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme.
