MECHANICAL FITTERS REQUIRED
Our client, a heavy engineering company, is looking to recruit Car Transporter assemblers based near Braintree in Essex. Their purpose-built facilities are powered by renewable energy.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Working within a team of 3-4, the Fitter will work as a team by carrying out the full build of a trailer, including installation of all parts required.
THE ROLE
- Fitting of mechanical hydraulics and pneumatics, electrics, brake systems and installation of moving vehicle decks into our new build car transporters.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Previous experience in vehicle/trailer fitment or automotive would be preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Possess a solid technical background in vehicle fitment and mechanical attitude.
- Proficiency in mechanical assembly and repair techniques.
- Read and interpret drawings and schematics.
- Previous experience with hand tools is essential to the role.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Knowledge of pneumatics.
- Knowledge of hydraulics.
