Central Employment are working in partnership with a leading North East Social Media and Creative agency, as they look to appoint a Senior Business Development Manager, working alongside the senior management team to manage and drive all new business activity for the organisation.
Purpose of the role is to:
- Create and develop new business opportunities in line with the new business targeting strategy across Social Media, Paid Social Media and Creative.
- Take ownership for creating sales pipeline opportunities.
- Manage opportunities from prospect research to pitch.
- Identify additional and value-added digital media and creative services.
- Mentor and grow a team of Business Development Managers.
Role Responsibility:
- Develop, deploy and follow-up outbound prospecting campaigns, specifically for Organic & Paid Social Media services and Creative solutions.
- Review media for opportunities.
- Professionally guide prospects through the sales process.
- Mentor & develop other members of the business development team to sell.
- Project management of pitch teams to respond to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring an exceptionally high written and design standard.
- Build relationships with online marketing managers, directors and CMOs.
- Handover clients to delivery teams as part of onboarding.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop additional revenue opportunities within key eCommerce client accounts.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in digital media, marketing or advertising solutions.
- Circa 3+ years in a new business focused role.
- An understanding of social media, creative and production and how it can achieve client goals & targets.
- Commercially astute and can build rapport with prospects very quickly.
- In-depth knowledge of the broader digital space.
- Personable, presentable and articulate.
- A motivated and collaborative team player who is an outstanding written and oral communicator.
- The ability to mentor junior sales staff.
- A solid track record of generating profitable business and revenue.
