An expanding business based near Fleet is offering an opportunity for an experienced Workshop Technician to join their team. The role is ideal for a candidate with experience in a hands-on workshop environment and looking for some career development.
The Workshop Technician will provide technical support with:
- Equipment build and test
- Conversion of stock equipment to satisfy customer requirements
- Understanding how the technology is constructed and operates
- Disassembly, inspection, repair, and re-assembly
- Interpreting detailed instructions, engineering drawings and creating technical reports
- Fault diagnosis and analysis of the equipment to identify potential system issues and offer advice for improvements
- Checking of incoming goods against engineering drawings with quality awareness
- Disassembly and assembly of rotating equipment
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining an efficient and safe workshop and test area environment
- Compliance with all health & safety standards and regulations
- Ensuring full conformance to work instructions, procedures, quality standards and specifications
- Following standard operating procedures
Key skills we're looking for:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing/repair environment with ideally 3/5 years of engineering experience
