Our client is a reputable and long-standing design consultancy specialising in end-to-end systems development. From systems architecture to RTL design, they deliver fully verified solutions tailored to meet their customers’ ASIC and FPGA requirements. They are currently seeking an FPGA Engineer with a strong background in RTL design and hands-on experience programming in VHDL and/or Verilog.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting project requirements and creating clear, structured FPGA design proposals, breaking them down into actionable development tasks.
  • Designing module-level architecture and translating concepts into comprehensive technical specifications.
  • Implementing RTL code from architectural designs with attention to area, speed, power, and performance trade-offs.
  • Conducting thorough verification of RTL code at both module and system levels to ensure functional accuracy.
  • Performing synthesis and analysing timing to meet design constraints and optimize performance.
  • Evaluating power consumption and overall system performance to ensure efficient design.
  • Integrating FPGA designs seamlessly into the target hardware platform for full system functionality.

Skills Needed:

  • Holds a degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of digital design principles and methodologies.
  • Skilled in RTL development with hands-on experience using VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Experienced in utilizing industry-standard tools for FPGA simulation and synthesis.
  • Solid grasp of the end-to-end FPGA development lifecycle.
  • Familiar with formal verification techniques and timing analysis processes.
  • Demonstrated practical experience in designing and implementing FPGA solutions.
