With more than 120 years of banking tradition, the group is headquartered in the City of London and maintains offices in major financial centres around the world. The Role Britannia Global Markets is looking to recruit a Junior Broker to support the metals team, based at our London HQ. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established metals team. You will be supported by experienced members of the team with plenty of opportunity to take responsibility and contribute to decision making. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong desire to forge a career in a front office client facing role. Day to Day responsibilities • Execute and manage trades on behalf of clients, booking trades across various exchanges • Understand front to back trade flows • Provide first line responses to non-trading queries from clients and prospects • Interact with in house back office and DMA support • Support clients trading requirements, trade flows and queries • Maintain good working relationships with clients, LPs and market counterparties • Help to maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure fast and accurate responses to client requests • Streamline and automate existing procedures and processes • Daily administration: Recaps, margin calls, onboarding documentation, client support, ad hoc projects, new business generation and sales Requirements: • Office based position based in London • Recent graduate, second mover or junior broker • Beneficial to have knowledge of financial markets, derivatives and commodity markets • You have superior interpersonal skills and the ability to positively influence outcomes Essential Skills • Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages • Highly numerate, with high attention to detail • Excellent telephone manner, interpersonal and communication skills • Self-motivated and able to work at a consistently high standard • Able to work in a pressurised environment, well organised with good time management skills
