We are looking for a strategic and data-driven Subscription & Audience Marketing Manager to join our dynamic marketing function. In this role you will be responsible for driving the growth and engagement of our subscriber base and digital communities. You will own the promotion, sign-ups and engagement in our digital platforms and communities whilst playing a pivotal role in promoting freemium & premium content, expert-led webinars, and technology showcases—driving qualified leads and converting them into long-term subscribers. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the end-to-end subscriber journey, from awareness and acquisition to retention and engagement, with a strong emphasis on content marketing and audience development.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Subscriber Growth & Campaign Strategy: Design and execute integrated campaigns to grow subscriptions for our digital platforms, webinars, and premium content offerings. Promote thought leadership content and technology showcases to attract new subscribers and nurture prospects. Collaborate with editorial, product, and event teams to highlight high-value assets and upcoming virtual events.
  • Audience Lifecycle & Retention: Create targeted onboarding, engagement, and renewal programs to retain subscribers. Monitor usage and behavioural data to proactively address churn risks. Develop loyalty initiatives and cross-promotional strategies between content types (e.g., from newsletter subscriber to webinar attendee).
  • Webinar & Event Marketing: Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns to drive webinar registrations and showcase participation. Develop compelling messaging and promotional strategies tailored to audience segments. Track post-event engagement and drive follow-up nurture flows to convert attendees into subscribers.
  • Performance Analysis & Optimisation: Track KPIs such as subscriber acquisition cost, retention rates, engagement metrics and lifetime value. Regularly report on performance and apply insights to optimize campaigns. Work with marketing colleagues incl. Head of Campaign Automation, and Director Digital Marketing and CRM optimise marketing tool usage (e.g., email automation, CRM, analytics dashboards) to streamline efforts and personalize outreach.
  • Campaign & Message Creation: Excellent copywriting and messaging skills, able to produce compelling messaging across multiple channels, including newsletters, socials, paid media. Work with Design to ensure creatives and messaging are best placed to drive engagement. Managing and executing the emails, posts, social, and paid media for the campaigns you are responsible for running. Connect with broader teams to ensure that the platform is promoted and cross referenced as appropriate.

We are looking for someone with:

  • 4+ years of experience in B2B marketing, audience development, or subscription growth—preferably in media, publishing, or event-based businesses.
  • Strong experience promoting webinars, virtual events, and digital content to professional audiences.
  • Proficient in tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, webinar platforms (Zoom, ON24), and social advertising.
  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Analytical and results-oriented, with the ability to derive insights from data and act on them.
  • Demonstrable skills in digital marketing, copy creation, and creating campaigns and messaging to drive engagement.
  • Experience of working in a matrix, with excellent stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • B2B events experience a bonus but not requirement.

More about the role:

  • Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum
  • Location: All our roles are hybrid (a mix of remote and in office). Our offices are located on the Botley Road in Oxford, with shops/restaurants within walking distance and easy access into Oxford City Centre.
  • Job Type: Full time (37.5 hours a week)
