Job Type: Interim cover for the Service Manager for Housing, requiring on-site presence for the majority of the week, with out-of-hours/callout responsibilities.
We seek an experienced leader to manage housing teams within the Adult Social Care and Housing Directorate. The successful candidate will lead aspects of our housing transformation programme and ensure the delivery of responsive, effective, and safe housing services tailored to the needs of service users.
Using a person-centred approach, the candidate will collaborate closely with provider organisations to deliver a consistent service that complies with legislative requirements and optimizes available resources.
Applicants should have detailed knowledge of housing issues, national guidance, and statutory requirements related to the area managed, along with substantial experience working in complex and sensitive situations with a calm and proactive approach. Previous experience in managing and delivering services, preferably within a multi-agency setting, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold a Degree in a Housing-related field or equivalent.
- Possess extensive understanding of housing, particularly related to homelessness or housing renewal.
- Participate actively in Leadership Group meetings, contributing to corporate leadership and departmental management.
