We’re currently working with a well-established, globally recognised technology brand who are seeking a driven and technically sound Financial Accountant (EMEA) to join their European finance team. With a strong presence across the UK and EMEA, and exciting transformation projects underway, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a varied and impactful role.
The Opportunity: This is a pivotal time to join the business as they consolidate operations globally, bringing together regions across EMEA, the US, APAC, and China under one UK-led structure. You’ll be supporting the Finance Manager for EMEA, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and driving improvements in systems and processes during a time of international growth.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and supporting month-end closing and reporting processes
- Full responsibility for holding company reporting and accurate consolidation
- Owning areas of technical accounting, including sales allowances, IFRS 16 leases, and inventory
- Preparing statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors
- Assisting with internal audits and contributing to ongoing process improvement
- Handling elements of tax compliance: VAT returns (UK & Netherlands), corporation tax analysis, PAYE settlement agreements, and more
- Ensuring other key compliance requirements are met (e.g. Companies House, banking, ONS)
What We’re Looking For:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with strong post-qualification experience
- Confident with IFRS and UK GAAP, with the ability to interpret and apply technical standards
- Advanced Excel skills and sharp analytical mindset
- Excellent communicator who can explain financial information clearly across teams
- Proactive and independent, with strong attention to detail
Bonus Points For:
- Experience in a multinational, product-based business (FMCG or tech ideal)
- Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite
- Practice-trained background, especially in audit or reporting
