YOUR ROLE
Our Air Operations team based in Heathrow, London have an exciting opportunity for a customer focused Air Export Coordinator, where you will be responsible for the daily delivery of superior customer and operational service. This role will see you working 4 on 4 off shift - 18:30 - 06:30.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Reporting into the Air Export Supervisor you will take ownership of the export operations ensuring the seamless delivery of services and maintaining consistency throughout the process.
- Arrange shipments as per customer instructions following customer SOP/Quotation.
- Open job files and arrange collections.
- Book all shipments with the airlines.
- Handle tie ups by ensuring secure cargo and handover to transport.
- Complete customs entries in accordance with compliance of HMRC and the Master Airway Bill.
- Liaise with airlines and handling agents.
- Support customers with costing and invoicing.
- Oversee shipment status, identify and ensure resolution of active shipment incidents.
- Act as internal & customer facing front end to all operational process on active shipment.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you will have proven experience of working within a freight forwarding or air operations environment ideally within pharmaceutical or aerospace sectors. You will be IT literate and so be able to use MS based programs such as Excel or Word. You will have good attention to details and be organised to effectively handle the fast-paced nature of the operation.
