Syntech Recruitment are currently working with this well established client who are looking to expand their team and take on a Materials Controller. This is an important role and you will play a crucial part in the smooth running of this department. In return they will offer development and career progression and some great benefits.

- Supply the calibration areas with necessary metrology, jigs and fixtures in a timely manner.
- Monitor work in progress levels of each workstation and replenish as needed.
- Ensure that materials are correctly labelled, stored, and transported in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain an uninterrupted workflow by coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure all items are available and meet quality standards.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, or conveyor belts.
- Assist with work in progress rotation to minimise waste and optimise workflow.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including PPE usage and manual handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory and storage areas.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse environment preferred.
- Physical ability to lift and move materials as needed.
- Willingness to work in a shift-based or flexible work schedule.
- Forklift licence would be an advantage
- Basic PC skills
- Good communicator
