About the Role
As the Manager of Information Security for Cirium, you will be responsible for protecting information systems and assets, identifying and addressing security issues. You will leverage your management experience in both tactical and strategic roles, reporting to the VP of Technology and being a key member of the Tech Leadership Team (TLT).
Responsibilities
- Providing strategic and technical security direction for multiple stakeholder teams in the UK and India.
- Managing your team and fostering a high-performance security culture.
- Promoting Incident Process, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Disaster Recovery practices.
- Implementing industry security best practices and frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and standardization of technology, risk registers, and security dashboards, collaborating with Business and Tech stakeholders.
- Tracking and reporting security project progress to senior leadership with a data-driven approach.
Requirements
- Experience in solving complex information security issues in technical and strategic roles, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work with teams building secure platform components, applying risk mitigation strategies, and delivering security projects.
- Experience managing and coaching teams, influencing security best practices with engineering managers, directors, and C-level executives.
- Proven ability to demand deliverables that prioritize security without compromising business success, and to enhance collective security knowledge.
- Understanding that security should be balanced with business needs, influencing teams towards adoption of security frameworks over time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across diverse global teams.
