Axon Moore are working with an award winning organisation who are seeking a Metering Operations Coordinator to join their growing operations team. This role focuses on the management of the organisation's metering portfolio and the coordination of industry-related processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all metering activities including installations, removals, exchanges, and updates to metering asset data
- Coordinate with third parties, including Meter Asset Managers (MAMs), customers, internal teams, and data collection agencies
- Resolve issues relating to metering data accuracy and asset record discrepancies
- Manage and monitor industry file flows and ensure timely updates to supply point data
- Coordinate and maintain appointment schedules, including AMR and smart meter rollouts
- Process meter reading data and ensure compliance with regulatory timeframes
- Handle industry meter reading rejections and initiate corrective actions
- Provide accurate reporting, both scheduled and ad-hoc, to stakeholders
- Maintain high levels of customer service across all communications and activities
Experience
Essential:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the initiative to suggest improvements
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Able to build strong working relationships across departments and with external partners
Desirable:
- Experience working in an energy supplier's operations or metering department
- Knowledge of metering industry processes, including AMR, Smart meters, and data flow communications
- Familiarity with working with MAMs, MOPs, and data collectors
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel (advanced skills are an advantage)
