What can I expect? At OTIS we have one of the most comprehensive Apprenticeship schemes within the lift industry. As an engineer apprentice, you will work within a supportive team undertaking a range of on-the-job and classroom-based learning to obtain an NVQ3 qualification, essential for a career as a Lift and Escalator Engineer. Your training will be supported throughout your programme by OTIS and our training partner who will be the apprenticeship provider. Once qualified as a New Equipment Lift Engineer, you will be installing brand new equipment and seeing the installation process through from start to finish. You will be based on construction sites all year round and will move locations as you move from one project to another.

Who we are looking for? We are looking for aspiring engineers with strong communication skills, exceptional teamwork, and a proactive mindset who can demonstrate:

  • 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at grade C/Grade 4 and above, including Maths, English and a STEM subject.
  • 18 years old minimum.
  • A willingness to attend and complete the required training throughout the Apprenticeship.

Salary:

  • Year 1: £15,709
  • Year 2: £20,948
  • Year 3: £28,800
