The Team: This role is a key part of the Times Media Brand Sales Team, a cross-platform team responsible for selling across multiple channels, including papers, digital, podcasts, and magazines. The brand sales team sits at the core of our commercial function, acting as experts on our multi-platform products, audiences, and channels. This role is within the digital specialist team and focuses on growing direct & programmatic video and digital partnership revenues.
Your Role: As Times Media expands its digital revenues and adopts a digital-first strategy, we seek a strategic, results-driven sales lead with a strong background in video & proactive digital partnership sales across all channels. Responsibilities include setting strategy, driving video sales, developing sponsored editorial video series, and launching Times Media’s CTV solution. You will collaborate with editorial, strategy, and sales teams to develop and pitch new video content and solutions, supporting revenue growth.
Day-to-day you will be:
- Budget Accountability: Managing video forecasting and budgeting across all channels, including display, instream ads, CTV, and editorial franchises.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partnering with senior stakeholders to shape and execute video sales strategies.
- Agency Engagement: Developing business with agency video/AV teams to promote and sell Times Media's video propositions.
- Content Promotion & Sponsorships: Promoting original video content and selling sponsorships.
- Video Sales Representation: Creating sales collateral and delivering pitches for agency and client presentations.
- Agency Upfronts & Stakeholder Influence: Hosting agency events to elevate Times Media’s video channels.
- Tailored Video Solutions: Building relationships with clients and offering customized video solutions.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Working with editorial, marketing, and commercial teams to maximize revenue.
- Business Development & Account Growth: Building new opportunities and nurturing existing relationships.
- Campaign Ideation & Delivery: Collaborating on campaign planning and execution.
- Industry Insights & Thought Leadership: Staying informed on industry trends and providing insights.
What we’re looking for from you:
- Extensive experience in digital video advertising sales, with a proven track record of exceeding targets.
- Strong digital partnership experience, especially in proactive video-led collaborations.
- Established network of agency contacts in video and partnerships.
- Advanced sales and relationship management skills.
- Deep industry knowledge of publishing and video advertising.
- Data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- CRM proficiency, preferably with Salesforce.
