About the role: We are seeking a Technical Engineer in the Data Center and Hosting practice to join our team of engineers. The role involves working across all areas of Infrastructure, supporting our key customer’s estate, and driving projects to completion.
What will you do?
- Monitor and maintain client infrastructure, systems, and software daily
- Manage incidents and service requests
- Administer Linux and Unix servers
- Install and test operating software with application providers
- Participate in infrastructure projects to upgrade and improve the IT landscape
Technology:
- RedHat 6, 7, 8, 9
- HPC Platform
- Rancher
- Ansible
- Red Hat Satellite
- SCOM
Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in Linux/Unix systems administration
- Experience with anti-virus solutions on Linux OS
- Knowledge of virtualization infrastructure like VMware ESX and Hyper-V, including storage and networking, is advantageous
- Understanding of network and storage solutions supporting Linux environments
- Experience with automation implementation
- Experience with supervision tools such as SCOM or Nagios
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- DV or SC clearance, or willingness to apply from Day 1
- Innovative, effective, and collaborative working style
- Ability to own tasks from start to finish
Nice to have:
- Understanding of Active Directory
- Experience in project structuring and definition
- Knowledge of Oracle and SQL databases
- ITIL Foundation certification
