Role Overview & Daily Responsibilities:
Working in close collaboration with a senior director, you will play a pivotal role in managing a broad and dynamic civil litigation caseload. Matters will span a range of dispute types including, but not limited to, boundary and land disputes, professional negligence claims, property damage litigation, debt recovery actions, and contract disputes across both individual and commercial clients.
You will be responsible for conducting in-depth case reviews in situations involving disputed liability, complex legal or factual issues, rejected settlement or cost proposals, or where additional evidence and investigations are required to progress the matter effectively. Your analytical input will be essential in shaping case strategies and identifying opportunities for resolution or escalation.
The role will also involve the delegation and oversight of routine administrative tasks, ensuring that case management processes remain efficient and compliant with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
In addition, you will be expected to attend court hearings and case management conferences as appropriate, prepare comprehensive briefing materials, and, where necessary, instruct counsel or expert witnesses to support the case strategy. Your involvement will span the full litigation lifecycle, from initial instruction through to resolution or trial.
