NTT DATA is currently looking for a CICS Mainframe Systems Programmer remotely for our growing team in the UK.
Responsibilities- Installing, administrating, maintaining, resourcing definitions and supporting CICS systems software
- Supporting and maintaining CICS production including 'out of hours' troubleshooting
- Providing technical assistance to developers and application support teams
- Designing and developing new hardware and software technology solutions
- Leading and directing problem investigation and recovery in complex situations
- Installing and testing new versions of CICS
- Providing 2nd and 3rd Level Support for applications that use CICS
- Establishing user needs and monitoring user access and security
- Monitoring performance and managing parameters for fast responses
- Developing, managing, and testing backup and recovery plans
- Ensuring storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
- Providing data security and recovery control (ensuring data is retrievable in emergencies)
- CICS System Programmer or Technical Specialist experience
- Knowledge of CICS Transaction Server 4.2 and/or 5.3, SMP/E, ACF2 & RACF
- Mainframe SYSPlex environment experience is preferred
- Flexible and adaptable management style with experience in personal and team development
- Ability to make complex business decisions with authority, even in ambiguity, considering long-term risks
