As a Senior Product Associate in the Equity Capital Markets team of Global Investment Banking - Digital, you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success.
Job responsibilities:
- Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery.
- Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience.
- Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers.
- Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle.
- Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development.
- Develops knowledge of Investment Banking, particularly Equity Capital Markets, and engages with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure product offerings meet their expectations.
- Gains a detailed understanding of the end-to-end user journey and deal life cycle, and be accountable for building solutions that transform and enhance these user journeys.
- Collaborates with Engineering, Design, and Data teams to build solutions that meet business needs, ensuring adaptability and scalability across regions.
- Understands the data ecosystem within Global Banking and identifies dependencies and integration points to enable a seamless platform experience for users.
- Builds a deep understanding of advanced analytics and AI capabilities that can be incorporated into product solutions to enhance and accelerate user value.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area.
- Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle.
- Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition.
- Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy.
- Track record of Product management experience including backlog management, writing user stories, working with designers, and communicating product requirements to engineers.
- A customer-centric mindset and experience building and delivering greenfield products end to end.
- Strong problem solver and effective communicator with a partnership mindset and ability to collaborate with stakeholders, team members, and executive leadership.
- Ability to partner with cross-functional teams at all levels for effective execution in an agile manner.
- Understanding of common design tools like Figma and the ability to communicate low fidelity ideas using them.
