James Gray Recruitment are actively recruiting a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of one of our key Civil engineering and infrastructure clients in Inverness. This role will be a mix of office-based work and site visits. This role is unique in that it will be a blend of both a Quantity Surveyor and Estimating role working on a long term, secure framework.

What you’ll be doing:
- The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing tender and contract documents, including performing risk, value management and cost control.
- Working on civil engineering and infrastructure projects, you will also be responsible for managing costs from inception to completion to minimise cost and maximising value for money.
- Pricing and ensuring estimates are submitted accurately and on time.
- Procurement for subcontractors.
- Final accounts.
What you will need to be successful:
- At least 4 years experience as an QS / Engineer within the civils sector.
- Experience in rail infrastructure highly desirable, although other civil engineering backgrounds will be considered.
- Good understanding of NEC 3 or 4.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
