A leading construction consultancy in Manchester is seeking a full-time Senior Building Surveyor to enhance their expanding team. This role will primarily focus on projects based in Manchester and the surrounding areas. The position offers a diverse range of responsibilities, providing essential support to the Surveying team on various projects, particularly in the commercial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and advise on the design, construction, maintenance, and refurbishment of all building types.
- Conduct acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys, and defect investigations.
- Prepare detailed reports, schedules of work, and specifications.
- Design and oversee works in accordance with established building contracts and current technical standards.
- Manage large-scale projects independently, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of professional consultancy services.
- Apply relevant legislation, including health and safety, party wall, building regulations, and planning.
- Actively promote the company's services to secure new projects and enhance the brand presence.
- Support and supervise APC candidates to foster their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all company administrative and health & safety procedures.
