The key stakeholders are: General Manager, Head of Operations & Operations Director.
Job Overview:
As an Assistant Accommodation Manager, you will support the smooth running of Lumis Living’s student accommodation in Leicester. You will work closely with the Accommodation Manager to ensure the well-being of residents, maintain high standards of service, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility. The role demands excellent customer service skills, strong organisational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic, student-focused environment.
About the role
Resident Support:
Act as the first point of contact for students, providing support with queries, complaints, and general assistance.
Assist with the check-in and check-out processes, ensuring a smooth transition for residents.
Coordinate and promote community-building events and activities that enhance the student experience.
Operational Management:
Support the Accommodation Manager in ensuring the building is well-maintained and health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Assist with managing maintenance requests and coordinating with contractors to ensure timely repairs.
Monitor and report on occupancy levels, ensuring efficient room allocation and rental income targets are met.
Administrative Duties:
Handle incoming emails, phone calls, and queries related to student accommodation services.
Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, financial transactions, and property management systems.
Assist with financial processes, including rent collection and deposit management.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the on-site team, including housekeeping and maintenance staff, to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
Provide feedback and support to junior staff as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in property management, hospitality, or student accommodation preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with property management software and basic financial processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
