Lansdowne Housing & Care Ltd is already an established provider of housing working with Local Authorities in West London. We are now expanding into additional care and support services for vulnerable and disabled groups, including children and young people. With newly established offices in the beautiful natural surroundings of Brentford Lock, newly developed and ready to go children's homes, and further projects underway, we aim to put together high-quality professional teams to drive our business model forward.

About The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Responsible Individual to lead our brand-new service. This is your opportunity to guide a team, shape a newly established children's and young people's service, and ensure we meet the highest standards of care. You will be the Ofsted registered Responsible Individual, taking charge of all relevant regulatory matters, and providing comprehensive leadership to make sure that every child and young person receives the care they deserve.

You will be entrusted to:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the home provides exceptional care while supporting and motivating your team.
  • Ensure the home meets or exceeds Ofsted standards and all relevant regulations, driving continuous improvement.
  • Take responsibility as the designated safeguarding lead, ensuring every young person feels safe, valued, and supported.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments, to ensure care standards are consistently met, and enable the completion of regulatory reports.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Local Authorities and external agencies, managing referrals and overseeing quality assurance.
  • Address internal and external complaints professionally and thoughtfully, ensuring smooth and effective operations.
  • Take lead on Regulatory Compliance: maintaining full responsibility for compliance standards and legislation, conduct regular audits, address any issues, and ensure continuous improvement and liaising with Ofsted.

You will lead the home to exceed expectations in care standards, creating a place where children and young people feel safe, supported, and valued.

In addition, you will:

  • Provide Effective Management: Supporting the Registered Manager and staff providing mentor and coaching to the team to ensure consistency in service delivery.
  • Oversee Care and Placements: Working closely with the team to engage Referrals, develop Assessments, improve Care Planning and Pathway processes, and the coordinating of services to achieve better outcomes for the children and young people in our care.
  • Manage Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and external professionals to ensure smooth placement transitions and high-quality care.

What you will need:

  • Proven Experience: Extensive experience in managing children’s homes, with a focus on care planning, placements, and outcome monitoring.
  • In-Depth Knowledge: Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and best practices for looked-after children.
  • Strong Leadership and Management Skills: Effective in managing teams, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering high standards of care.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Experience working with Ofsted and a track record of achieving Good or Outstanding ratings.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare / Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services in the children and young people’s residential management pathway.
  • Level 7 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management (either obtained or currently/willing to work towards).
  • At least one year’s experience as a Responsible Individual.
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle (preferable, but not essential).

Salary is fully negotiable for the right candidate. If you believe you have what it takes, or would like further information, then we would love to hear from you.
