The Business Analyst will join a respected IT team that provides analytical tools to a derivatives trading desk. This role involves analyzing business requirements and collaborating with developers to test and release solutions. The analyst will engage with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives within front-office trading, to ensure effective communication and negotiation.

Objectives:

  • Analyze business requirements and work with developers to test and release solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with derivatives traders and IT to define requirements, propose solutions, broker decisions, and achieve consensus.
  • Work with developers to deliver requirements and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Provide third-line support to traders.
  • Ensure IT solutions are delivering revenue and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify improvements and recommend solutions to stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python (or other programming languages) and SQL.
  • Experience with derivatives (Ideally options) Energy experience.
  • Ability to work with large and complex data sets.
  • Comfortable interfacing with mathematical models.
  • Experience with ETRM systems and understanding of the trade lifecycle is highly valued.
