A leading creative agency is on the lookout for a meticulous and thoughtful QC/Proofreader to join their growing healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a razor-sharp eye for detail and a genuine passion for language, accuracy, and craft. You will be part of a team that believes creativity can make a real difference—even in the most regulated or technical spaces. Your role is to ensure every piece of work that leaves the door is flawless.

You will be joining a diverse team of over ten talented writers, all passionate about crafting thoughtful, high-quality content. The work spans a broad range of healthcare and pharmaceutical materials—everything from short-form promotional copy to complex, long-form deliverables. Think: digital content (websites, eDetails), patient and HCP materials, messaging documents, congress presentations, and internal comms.

Your core responsibility will be to ensure that all content is accurate, consistent, and in line with client style guides and regulatory standards—whether that’s navigating British vs. American English, applying correct referencing styles, or adhering to legal requirements. You will collaborate closely with writers, creatives, account handlers, and project managers—often under tight deadlines—so a calm, focused approach is essential.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Proven experience in proofreading, quality control, or editorial support—ideally within a healthcare/pharmaceutical or agency setting
  • Impeccable grammar, spelling, punctuation, and a strong grasp of plain English principles
  • A meticulous eye for detail and a high level of accuracy—even when working at pace
  • Familiarity with referencing systems (e.g., AMA, Vancouver) and tracing citation trails
  • Confidence reviewing a wide range of formats—from digital copy and decks to long-form documents
  • Clear and constructive communication skills, whether marking up digitally or on hard copy
  • A steady, independent work ethic—balanced with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset

How You Work:

This is a role for someone who knows how to uphold high standards without slowing down creative momentum. You will be organised, level-headed under pressure, and confident in your judgement—knowing when to raise a red flag and when to move things forward. If you are someone who takes pride in the details but never loses sight of the bigger picture, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
