Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting a Civils Operative to join the team. The main purpose of this role is to support the business and carry out works for the clients customers. In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £35,000 + Overtime of up to £10,000 depending on experience. This is a full-time, permanent position. The hours of work will be anything between 5am and 4pm, with a 45 hour working week and overtime available.
Reporting to the hiring manager your responsibilities will include:
- Manhole cover reinstatements
- Channel drainage replacement
- Excavation works to remove and replace defective underground drainage
- Patch lining and drainage repairs
- CCTV investigations
- Above ground drainage repairs
- Manhole channel and benching reconfiguration
The role will include either a week of nights or a week of stay away every 4/5 weeks.
The ideal candidate:
- Valid UK driving license is essential
- Can do work ethic
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- A strong team player
- Willingness to learn and progress within the role
- Self-motivation, discipline, and serious attitude towards health and safety in the workplace
- Previous experience in the drainage/civils industry with a basic knowledge of reinstatement/reconstruction works or willingness to learn
