My well established and developing client is looking to recruit an experienced Legal and Compliance Manager to ensure that the business remains compliant with all relevant legal and industry standards. Reporting to the Operations Director, this role would suit someone with experience in a similar role, ideally with a background in packaging, however not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of all company insurance: Building, Stock/product, Marine, fleet, public liability and employers’ liability
- Main point of contact for all insurance claims, ensuring each claim is dealt with methodically, processed from start to finish and closed out in a timely manner.
- Maintenance of Industry accreditations including ISO, FSC, BRC, Ecovardis, FORS, and becoming carbon neutral.
- Management of all legal and compliance internal and external audits
- Keep up to date with new and existing Environmental and compliance related legislation, rules and company standards, including fire prevention, site inspections etc.
- Support the SMT and HR teams to ensure company policies and procedures are up to date and relevant
- Maintenance of staff training matrix
- Keep the companies’ terms and conditions in line with the vision (sales & purchase)
- Support the H&S department to ensure compliance of current working guidelines.
