An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Import Logistics Coordinator within a well-established Export Logistics Department. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, ensuring the efficient importation of goods while maintaining strict compliance with customs regulations and trade requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Import Operations: Oversee the import process, including sourcing, repairs, and return material authorization. Collaborate with key stakeholders such as carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to optimize the importation workflow.
- Customs Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and trade compliance requirements. Manage the Inward Processing Relief (IPR) process from Return Material Authorization (RMA) to the final Bill of Discharge. Prepare and submit accurate customs clearance instructions and required documentation. Work closely with import brokers to resolve any issues and ensure full compliance with import regulations.
- Documentation & Record Keeping: Organize and maintain detailed shipment records for auditing and compliance purposes. Verify and review shipping documents to ensure accuracy and alignment with customs requirements.
- Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth flow of information throughout the import process. Proactively liaise with external partners to resolve issues and enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Proficiency in computer systems and logistics software.
