About the Role: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Façade Designer to join our dynamic team in Kensington. This role will primarily be office-based with periodic visits to project sites in the area. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of façade systems, excellent design skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and detail façade systems including cladding, curtain walling, and glazing systems.
- Develop 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure design intent and technical requirements are met.
- Attend site meetings and carry out inspections as required.
- Prepare technical documentation and support the project team through all project stages.
- Coordinate with structural engineers and other disciplines to integrate façade designs effectively.
Requirements:
- Strong technical background in façade design (curtain walling, cladding, glazing, rainscreen systems etc.)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design tools; Revit experience is a bonus.
- Previous experience working on facade packages for a contractor, sub-contractor, or specialist design consultancy.
- Stonework detailing experience is desirable but not essential.
- A keen eye for detail, with the ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working on projects across London, with some hybrid flexibility.
