Drives Service Engineers - The Role:
- Fault finding & repairs of electrical installations & control systems, mainly for 3 phase motor starters including star/delta, soft starts and variable speed drives
- Installation of variable speed drives
- Removal/replacement of motor starters and control gear
- Carry out modification work to existing control panels
- Work directly with customers to understand their requirements and provide solutions
- Work on a call out rota to provide reactive work
Drives Service Engineers - The Person:
- Proven experience of fault find & repair of variable speed drives - experience of ABB products advantageous
- Be in possession of 17th/18th IEE wiring regulations
- Able to carry out modification work to existing control panels
- Able to read/make changes to electrical schematics
- Able to remove/replace motor starters and control gear
- Experience of fault find & repairs to industrial systems
