We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Freelance Document Controller to support our construction projects in Chelmsford and Sittingbourne. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in document control within the construction industry and be confident managing documentation workflows, ensuring version control, and maintaining compliance with project and regulatory standards. This role is offered on a self-employed (freelance) basis, though PAYE may be considered depending on circumstances. Core working hours are 9 AM to 3 PM, with flexibility available to suit the right candidate.
Typical duties will include:
- Controlling & distributing project documents
- Following and improving documentation processes
- Conducting regular reviews of documents & compliance
- Producing documents for the senior management team
- Producing site reports for the management team
- Working closely with the senior management team
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Document Controller in the construction or engineering sector
- Proficient in document control systems and tools
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Knowledge of construction documentation standards and compliance
