This is a part-time (22.2 hours per week) 12-month Fixed Term Contract that is due to end on 31/03/26.
At The Education People, we are committed to ensuring that children eligible for free school meals, including those with SEND, have access to high-quality holiday activities and nutritious meals. We are looking for a Holiday Advisor to play a vital role in delivering the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme on behalf of Kent County Council, ensuring compliance with DfE requirements and improving outcomes for children and families.
As a HAF Advisor, you will:
- Support the delivery of the HAF Programme across Kent, specialising in either holiday playscheme quality or School Food Standards compliance.
- Monitor and evaluate holiday playschemes, ensuring they meet statutory and safeguarding requirements.
- Lead in a specific area of the programme across the county, ensuring a high-quality and inclusive offer.
- Engage with partners and agencies to support effective delivery and adherence to policies.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on project outcomes, using a solution-based approach to overcome challenges.
- Ensure safeguarding policies are promoted and followed at all levels.
What Weβre Looking For:
- Level 4/5 or Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject and/or a specialist qualification (Level 3+) in out-of-school, early years, or food/nutrition.
- Experience delivering and evaluating small-scale projects with successful outcomes.
- Ability to advise and support providers to improve quality and outcomes.
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of Ofsted requirements, safeguarding, and school food standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to deliver training and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
