Careers Plus are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Systems Administrator who is ready to make a meaningful contribution to our client’s organisation. As part of their Technical Services team, the ideal candidate will bring innovation, teamwork, and a strong sense of initiative to the role, with key responsibility for delivering 3rd line ICT support across the business.

In alignment with ITIL best practices, this individual will be involved in managing and supporting their infrastructure, servers, and services. A key part of the role will be monitoring and maintaining systems to ensure optimal performance and uninterrupted service for all users.

Key Skills & Experience Required

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • A degree or qualification in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A hands-on, adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn and collaborate
  • A logical, methodical approach to problem solving
  • Highly organized with strong time management and capable of working independently
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (both client and server) including installation, upgrades, and ongoing support
  • Familiarity with Windows Server features such as Active Directory, Group Policy, and WSUS
  • Experience working with Microsoft 365 tools such as Entra, SharePoint, Exchange, and Teams
  • Proficiency in managing mobile devices and applications across iOS and Android platforms
  • Solid understanding of virtualization technologies, especially VMware
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and configurations including LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and Firewalls
  • A valid driver’s license and access to personal transportation
  • Familiarity with endpoint security solutions
  • Experience working with VoIP systems

Desirable Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Knowledge of Linux systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS
  • Experience with mobile device management platforms like Intune or Workspace One
