We are looking to recruit a Senior Paralegal to join our leading national Property Litigation team, within the specialist residential possession sub-team. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with solid experience in landlord-focused residential possession work to join one of the UK's largest and most highly regarded property litigation practices.
About the Team
Our Property Litigation team has extensive experience across all areas of landlord and tenant litigation and real estate disputes. We act for a wide range of clients including investment landlords, developers, public sector bodies, and household names in the retail and leisure sectors.
The Role
As a Senior Paralegal, you will provide legal support and advice to private landlord and insurance clients, focusing on the recovery of possession for residential properties let under assured shorthold tenancies, assured tenancies, Rent Act tenancies, and common law tenancies. Your role will include:
- Managing your own caseload of possession claims from instruction through to conclusion.
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court forms.
- Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties.
- Advising clients on possession procedures, notices, and enforcement.
- Supporting with defended actions, including those involving disrepair claims where required.
Key Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential possession work, ideally acting for landlords.
- Strong knowledge of relevant tenancy types and possession procedures.
- Experience handling high-volume caseloads and working to tight deadlines.
- Legal qualification (LPC, Law Degree, or CILEX) preferred, but not essential with sufficient experience.
- Excellent client care, organisational, and communication skills.
- Confident, proactive, and adaptable approach.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
