We are a leading specialist contractor delivering high-quality sports facilities across the UK & Ireland. Our projects range from grassroots community developments to elite and high-performance venues, including artificial pitches, multi-use games areas (MUGAs), athletics tracks, and natural turf pitches. As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team and oversee the successful delivery of multiple sports construction projects across the North of England and wider UK.

Location: North of England (flexible base with UK travel)

The Role: As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery — from pre-construction planning to final handover — ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver multiple sports facility construction projects concurrently
  • Coordinate site supervisors, subcontractors, and in-house installation teams
  • Oversee site logistics, programming, and Health & Safety compliance
  • Liaise with professional services, design teams, and local planning authorities (LPAs)
  • Monitor project progress, costs, and contractual requirements
  • Procure and manage supply chains, materials, plant, and equipment
  • Prepare, edit, and issue Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Construction Phase Plans (CPPs)
  • Conduct regular site visits, quality inspections, and team briefings
  • Provide regular updates to the senior management team and clients

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Site Manager in construction
  • Essential: Background in civils or external works
  • Highly Desirable: Experience in sports pitch construction
  • Ability to manage multiple live projects and travel across regions as required
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodology, programming, and HSE standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Project
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Comfortable liaising with professional consultants and public-sector bodies
  • Full UK driving licence
