A leading manufacturer of high-precision equipment is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their UK service team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a field-based environment, enjoys working independently, and has a passion for solving technical challenges.
The Role:
You’ll be the face of the company on customer sites across Halifax, carrying out installation, servicing, repairs, and calibration of specialist precision measuring equipment. While the role is primarily Halifax based, occasional travel to other regions and overnight stays may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install precision measurement equipment at customer premises
- Perform scheduled service and calibration work
- Diagnose and repair equipment faults
- Provide professional, on-site technical support
- Maintain accurate records and service documentation
What We’re Looking For:
- HNC/BTEC (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering – or relevant industry experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across electrical and/or mechanical systems
- Good IT proficiency and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management
Desirable:
- Experience working with high-precision or technical equipment
- Familiarity with troubleshooting both hardware and software systems
- A customer-focused approach and strong interpersonal skills
