My international boutique consultancy clients don’t just advise - they roll up their sleeves and deliver. They are looking for a Retail Director to join their highly successful Performance Improvement practice in London. You’ll lead fast-paced, high-impact projects that create real value for clients across the retail sector - from strategy through to implementation (this is a hands-on delivery role). Their work is results-driven, not report-driven. There’s no audit channel, a single P&L, and no individual sales target - just a clear focus on solving the most critical challenges for their clients.
They want someone who can clearly and confidently communicate their point of view to senior stakeholders and board members, and who thrives in demanding, high-stakes environments.
What you’ll bring:
- A top-tier education (MBA or Master’s strongly preferred)
- Both deep operational retail knowledge and expertise from a recognised management consultancy (essential)
- A strong UK retail network
- Proven ability to deliver across areas such as pricing, sourcing, procurement, store ops, cost-out programmes, and e-commerce
- Sharp analytical thinking, financial literacy, and real commercial instinct
- A collaborative, hands-on leadership style and a passion for results
This is a unique opportunity to lead change - without bureaucracy, without silos, and with the full support of a world-class team behind you. They love ambitious people, it is a meritocracy and they will give you all the support you need to get you to Partner.
They offer a hybrid working model, market-leading benefits, and a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and impact. Base salary to £200,000 + bonus + benefits.
