This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with drive and enthusiasm to enter into a new role that has arisen within the Birmingham office of this growing firm of Accountants. They are looking for an experienced senior auditor or audit manager who has the entrepreneurialism to help bring in house their current audit function and continue to develop the offering from there.
You will be responsible for helping to manage, or managing (depending on experience) a varied portfolio of audits for OMBs, SMEs and Corporate clients. You will have at least 4 years general experience in audit, accounts preparation and basic tax compliance within a small/medium or large sized firm of accountants. The more senior you are, you will need to be highly commercial to understand the needs of the clients, advise them strategically on complex issues, spot areas of risk in their businesses and then further identify services that they may require from the wider firm.
Over time, with the Directors, you will help to develop a team around you to assist the continued growth of this division. We are therefore seeking someone with energy, strong commercial skills and who takes pride in their work. You will be a qualified accountant (not essential), either ACA or ACCA.
We expect the successful candidate to be a hands-on self-starter who is starting to develop or already has proven managerial skills and experience and the ability to build strong relationships. This is an exceptional opportunity to really push on with your career within a small firm that is organised, ambitious and focused on growth. The firm thrives on developing staff within a supportive environment and awards success with clear progression paths for the right individuals, if that is what you seek.
