The Role
- Sets up and operates CNC mills per approved drawings, including tool offsets and compensation.
- Reviews CAD designs, determines tolerances, and performs necessary calculations.
- Verifies machine settings with test runs, ensuring strict adherence to specifications.
- Monitors operations, troubleshoots issues, and replaces worn tools.
- Performs additional tasks such as de-burring, tapping, and cleaning parts.
- Maintains quality, safety, and production schedules, updating records and KIPS as needed.
- Communicates effectively with team members and management, providing support to CNC operators.
- Keeps workspaces clean and performs preventive maintenance.
The Candidate
- Experienced in CNC mill setup and operation.
- Skilled in G-code controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, etc.).
- Capable of working independently.
- Experience with small-batch work is preferred.
