The role

This individual will work closely with the Head of London Sales, in the overall management of the Chelsea SW10 Sales team. They will have focus on the direct management and results of their office, always looking to drive profitability where possible.

  1. Motivating the team and leading new initiatives to maximise performance
  2. Monitoring KPIs including – RPS leads, viewing numbers, offer numbers, plot progression. Reporting results to Head of London Sales
  3. Achieve personal financial targets and budget, maximise gross profit
  4. Ensure delivery of timely and high quality advice and transactions to clients
  5. Meet with clients and assess their particular needs
  6. Manage the team and ensure objectives are set and met
  7. Register and manage applicants
  8. Arrange and attend viewings around homes
  9. Canvass for new business opportunities
  10. Explain building issues and regulations to the clients
  11. Respond to queries via e-mail and telephone
  12. Liaise with solicitors
  13. Responsible (sometimes jointly) for successful delivery of all assignments in area of expertise
  14. High profile ambassador for Strutt and Parker / BNP Paribas Real Estate in area of expertise
  15. Has external recognition and is influential in the market

Responsibilities

  1. Undertake business planning activities in line with the company’s aims
  2. Bill regularly and collect fees as quickly as possible
  3. Accurately forecast fees for the office when required to do so
  4. Assist in developing initiatives to improve revenue and profitability
  5. Abide by BNP compliance requirements
  6. An understanding of confidentiality issues and the use of discretion

Clients and Business Development

  1. Actively manage Strutt and Parker/BNP Paribas Real Estate clients base to deliver financial goals
  2. Being visible to clients as Head of Chelsea SW10 Sales
  3. Maintain and build client relationships
  4. Monitor service to clients via regular reviews and promptly rectify any shortfall in quality
  5. Identify cross selling opportunities and execute them
  6. Monitor the pipeline of current and prospective assignments for the office and action

People

  1. Responsible for and manages team(s) of fee earning individuals and support employees
  2. Instil an ethos of focus on business development throughout the business line and sector, and monitoring this performance
  3. Ensure a consistent and high quality service
  4. Actively communicate to the team and support the vision of the development of the Residential business
  5. Succession plan for the team and coaching/mentoring of others
  6. Delegate effectively to provide challenge and learning for the team
  7. Responsible for monitoring and review of people processes for employee engagement ensuring sufficient resources and skills to support current and future business
  8. Attend external networking events, keep abreast of market developments and share these regularly with the team and Group as required
  9. Regularly review own objectives and update them accordingly
  10. Annual Performance reviews with direct reports
  11. Collaborate with the HR team to resolve any specific people matters.
  12. Assessing need for performance management where required

Systems and Process

  1. Responsible for managing system and process requirements within area of responsibility
  2. Improve systems and processes – be innovative and creative and encourage this in others

Person specification

Qualifications:

  1. Educated to GCSE level or equivalent as a minimum

Experience

  1. Excellent telephone manner and client facing skills
  2. Significant track record within the local residential sector with a broad cross section of clients
  3. Proven fee earner
  4. Self starter and can work with little supervision and, where appropriate, under pressure
  5. Demonstrate a knowledge of the market which you operate within
