Intimate but busy upscale 70 cover restaurant now requires a skilled Head Chef as it looks to fire the business forward into 2025. The business comprises a very smart dining room, full of character – offering an excellent standard of food & service. This is a stunning building in a beautiful, high end location serving a brilliant local clientele many of whom use the restaurant on a regular basis.

Our client is looking for a strong Head Chef with experience of leading a similar kitchen & a track record of maintaining high standards & creative menu's to a discerning clientele. The Directors are keen to hire a successful & proven entrepreneurial Head Chef who has a proven track record of being involved in building significant businesses over the long term. This will be a hands on Head Chef role – leading a team from the front & would suit someone who wants to break free from their current company constraints & shoot the lights out with their next move.

The client is looking to lock someone in for the long term with this appointment & is offering up to £50k base salary plus Bonus.

You should be a skilled, commercially minded Head Chef with recognisable Head Chef experience & have a stable CV.

The client is open to candidates from high quality restaurant, Gastro Pub or hotel restaurant backgrounds but you must have been working at Head Chef level for a minimum of 3 years.

This is a Head Chef role that isn't going to be for everyone. It's aimed at Head Chefs who are growing tired of the thankless corporate contingency and all of the daily tick box exercises and the paperwork that goes with it – or a Head Chef at that 'sweet spot' in their career who think their only two options are to either get a move managing a larger team & push for a group role within 6 – 12 months or set up on their own. It's for a Head Chef who knows that there is a lot more to running a restaurant business than just running shifts. It's for Head Chef who wants the term “my guests” to actually mean something. Perhaps most importantly it's for Head Chefs in companies who don't want to lose the fire in their belly simply because their current company has got nothing better to offer them.
