Our client is a multi-site, fast-paced service organisation with strong values. The business has grown recently, and following a review of the Talent & Organisational Development model to support continued growth and change, the role of Talent Development Manager has been created. This is a career-enhancing opportunity for an individual to develop the talent development strategy for their business areas, which aligns to the vision, promotes diversity, and strengthens leadership capability.
An outstanding role for a talented and innovative Development Professional to lead a strategic approach to Talent Development both in the UK and Globally, playing a key senior role in the design and delivery of Talent, Learning and Leadership Development interventions which deliver value and maximise ROI in conjunction with key stakeholders.
Reporting to the Head of Learning and working closely with the HRDs, this role requires a track record in implementing a robust approach to succession planning and high potential development, as well as leading on the implementation of Leadership programmes including the enhancement of a coaching and mentoring culture. Your remit will be to help develop a strategy for Talent Development which is regarded as a strategic partner to the business.
The successful individual will be an advocate of best practice and able to create a career development strategy including new induction and succession processes. You will further develop a framework to support the organisational values, ensuring that organisational behaviours are defined and understood throughout the organisation while working in collaboration with business leaders and HR Business Partners to deliver an incorporated approach to Talent Development, which develops the talent pools, enhances employee engagement and embeds career pathways.
To be considered for this role, you will be an experienced Learning & Development professional with a proven track record of being part of the strategic direction of a well-regarded Talent Development function for a complex, multi-site retail or FMCG business during a period of change. Commercially astute, with experience of implementing Talent Development solutions from a blank piece of paper, the successful incumbent will also demonstrate success in implementing capability and performance management frameworks. The ability to build credibility quickly and contribute to the wider HR agenda will also be required.
