Senior Site Engineer

I am currently working with one of my top clients as they require a permanent Senior Engineer to initially work on the Environment Agency Flood Alleviation Scheme in Lowdham. You will need to provide overall control for the technical aspects of the project, including the monitoring and coordination of design changes. You should have a comprehensive understanding of work quality, ensuring that works are constructed in line with the project specifications and that ITP plans/records are produced and maintained according to project progress. Project Overview The scheme involves cutting into an embankment of the Cocker Beck and using compacted soil and ultra-low carbon concrete to create a raised reservoir. Daily Duties (but not limited to): Undertake day-to-day setting out duties independently. Train, manage, and mentor Junior Engineers. Manage and monitor all site sample/performance testing requirements and maintain records as per contract specifications. Complete hazard and risk assessments and prepare method statements. Manage site service plans/drawings and issue permits accordingly. Assist the site QS / Project Manager with providing relevant information for records and claims. Monitor and control temporary works. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies, as well as company procedures. Skills Required: The ideal candidate must have extensive setting out experience on infrastructure projects, including highways, roads, and earthworks. Proficiency with Leica/Geomax surveying equipment and the ability to transfer information from AutoCAD is essential. A good understanding of ITPs and quality assurance processes, along with strong leadership skills and construction practices knowledge, is required.
