About the Role:
We are looking to appoint a CTA Qualified Senior Tax Manager to lead the Tax Proposition here at Northern Accountants to ensure we are set up to deliver an efficient market leading tax service to our well-established client base. You will be responsible for developing, promoting and delivering our Taxation Service to clients and looking for ways to further enhance our tax offering/specialisms for both personal and corporate tax. This includes working with the Directors and Client Managers to assess clients who need additional tax support as well as promoting our tax offering external to NA to bring in additional business. The Senior Tax Manager will act as our expert on tax by providing training to maintain and enhance the tax knowledge of our team. You will also be responsible for ensuring the tax advice we deliver is compliant and accurate; where improvements are required, you will ensure solutions are implemented. Given the knowledge and experience this position requires, the Head of Tax will be expected to offer guidance and act as the decision-maker, where reasonable, in the absence of the Company Directors.
About you:
- Professional Taxation qualified - CTA Qualification (essential) and ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA (desirable)
- Driven, ambitious and dynamic leader
- Keen to develop and build a tax proposition service serving clients now and in the future
- Have a proven track record in a similar position delivering personal and corporate tax advice
- Experience in developing new business and new client acquisition (highly desirable)
- Experienced in working within an accounting firm
- Excellent communicator both with internal stakeholders and in client meetings
- Confident and credible in meetings with the ability to meet deadlines
- Experienced ideally in managing and or building a team.
