Our client based close to Marlow are looking for a hands-on and enthusiastic individual to join their friendly team as a Trainee Welder/Fabricator. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain specialist skills and build a career in welding and fabrication. You’ll be learning from and working closely with experienced professionals supporting a variety of projects in a fast-paced workshop environment.

The salary for this role is up to £28,000 dependent on experienceplus a discretionary annual 10% bonus.

As a Trainee Welder/Fabricator you will gain on the job training and practical experience as follows:

  • MIG welding and fabrication of products for the construction industry, including samples and trial pieces
  • Join metal parts using appropriate welding methods and equipment
  • Set up components and prepare materials (e.g., using angle grinders) for welding
  • Assist with Press Brake operation and other workshop machinery
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and contribute to team productivity
  • Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of the workshop and equipment
  • Follow company procedures, including ISO9001, ISO14001 & EN1090-1 EXC2 standards
  • Support welding coordination and product traceability as required

As a Trainee Welder/Fabricator you will also gain knowledge of:

  • Fabrication machinery i.e. CNC Saws, Punches, Pressbrake
  • Quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Understanding and maintaining records for EN1090 Exc 2
  • Interpreting fabrication drawings & weld symbols.
