Senior Linux Engineer

The Xantium Group seeks a Senior Linux Engineer to join a successful and growing team. This person will architect and execute strategic changes to the Linux environment as well as oversee maintenance of that environment.

The Senior Linux Engineer will be responsible for supporting Xantium’s expansion, including new trading types, locations, and deployment mechanisms for software teams. They will also ensure that low-latency trading applications run seamlessly across our global network of co-location sites.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Linux, with knowledge of both Debian and RHEL preferred
• Expertise in performance analysis and kernel tuning, especially as it pertains to low-latency systems
• Ability to use Python and Ansible to fully automate deployment, with familiarity with Nix/NixOS a plus

Compensation: A Senior Linux Engineer in New York can expect to earn $200,000 to $250,000+ base. Total compensation also includes a large annual bonus which is guaranteed in year one and based on employee and firm performance thereafter.
