Base pay range

Location: Peterborough (1-2 days per week onsite)

Salary: £75,000 per annum

We\’re working with a public sector body who are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design and delivery of a future-ready technology landscape over a two-year transformation programme, as they transition to bringing their IT function in-house. This is a pivotal role, offering the opportunity to define and embed enterprise-wide architecture that supports long-term strategic goals.

The Role

As Enterprise Architect, you will:

Develop and maintain the organisation\’s enterprise architecture blueprint, aligning IT strategy with business priorities
Lead on architectural governance across application, data, integration and infrastructure domains
Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment with operational needs
Provide oversight and direction on solution design, ensuring scalability, security and sustainability
Support transformation projects with expert input across platforms, systems and services
Identify opportunities for innovation through the evaluation of emerging technologies

About You

Proven experience in an Enterprise Architect role, ideally within a government body, if not then within a public sector, non-profit, or membership-led organisation
Strong understanding across all architecture domains: business, applications, data, and infrastructure
Demonstrated experience supporting large service transition programmes (ideally moving from an outsourced service to in-house)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and balancing strategic and hands-on responsibilities
