Strategic Buyer

We’re looking for a Strategic Buyer / Procurement Specialist to join our leading client based near Redditch where you’ll play a key role in driving cost savings, enhancing supplier performance, and ensuring supply chain resilience. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within a strategic purchasing function within an engineering based environment with a strong good working knowledge of SAP. This role will be based in Redditch but will require some travel to meet with Suppliers therefore a willingness to travel as needed is a must. What You’ll Be Doing As a Procurement Specialist, you’ll: * Lead and coordinate strategic cost reduction initiatives * Negotiate with suppliers to deliver Price Purchase Variance (PPV) and Net Working Capital (NWC) improvements * Collaborate with operations to mitigate supply chain risks * Improve supplier performance across quality, delivery, and cost * Analyse procurement data to uncover improvement opportunities * Support inventory management to meet company targets What We’re Looking For * Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment is essential * Experience with OEM or in the automotive industry is a plus * Degree-level qualification or equivalent preferred * CIPS or equivalent supply chain certification preferred * A valid UK driving licence Key …
