Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience integrating EHS into project plans, and managing EHS aspects of projects.
  • Experience in EHS for construction projects and implementing safety protocols on sites.
  • Experience in data center environments and ensuring safe data center operations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in EHS management, with a focus on construction projects in remote and challenging environments.
  • Experience working in international organizations at scale.
  • Experience working on the contracting, client, and developer sides of construction projects.
  • Experience with due diligence, site acquisition, design localization and construction handover.
  • Knowledge of international EHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a global Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program tailored to the unique challenges of construction in remote locations.
  • Provide direct EHS support to Construction Technical Program Managers (TPMs) in the field.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with EHS requirements.
  • Identify and assess EHS risks associated with construction activities and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Create a bespoke set of EHS standards aligned with Google and tailor them for the role and international best practice.
