Are you up for the challenge? 2H Offshore are looking to add a Facilities Lead Engineer to their expanding team in Europe. Based in either Woking (UK) or Paris (France), you will lead the design and follow the construction and commissioning of critical offshore facilities.
Managing subcontractors and internal engineering teams and interfacing with other disciplines, you will ensure all engineering activities align with safety, environmental, and quality standards. You will work on a wide variety of projects, encompassing engineering design and analysis at conceptual, feasibility, FEED, and detailed design level to optimize production processes, maintain facility integrity, and ensure regulatory compliance in offshore operations. The successful candidate will be a leader capable of building and nurturing a team as well as aligning with counterparts in other 2H offices to ensure best practices. Duties & Main Responsibilities
- Provide inputs to PreFEED, FEED, and detailed engineering bids, including costs, durations, and deliverables.
- Manage process, mechanical, electrical, telecom, and instrumentation work packages at various engineering levels.
- Interface with engineering teams from 2H covering structural and project disciplines.
- Lead and manage subcontractors, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Manage Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for facilities engineering work packages.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure contracted services meet project requirements and quality standards.
- Review and approve engineering documentation, including equipment lists, PFDs, P&IDs, specifications, and technical reports.
- Participate in and lead design review workshops, including HAZID and HAZOP.
Required
- Master’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum) or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ extensive offshore oil and gas industry engineering experience, with a focus on oil processing systems and offshore platforms, including experience in a similar position.
- In-depth knowledge of offshore processing facilities design, construction, and maintenance.
- Strong project management skills, leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
- Asset integrity and commissioning engineering experience is beneficial.
